Hello David, Right now we’re dealing with curfews, so we’re keeping open 11:30 am. - 7:30 pm.(no break). The last order should be around 7:15 pm. because our people have to clean up and go home safely. Thank you for understanding.🙏
Found this gem of a restaurant! Incredible food, very flavorful, generous portions, friendly, relaxed service, nice presentation. Would definitely recommend and will return.
Great food. Great service. Highly recommend.
Spicy basil chicken is very good here!
We ordered a couple of curries (green and pumpkin) along with spring rolls, and some fried rice. We were attempting to order vegetarian dishes and it seemed that there were a lot of options but we found out most thing had fish sauce. So that was disappointing. The sticky rice was nice, and the curries had good flavor and were full of vegetables. Things were all good but nothing stood out.
Portions are smaller than expected and pricey, which would be my only complaint. The staff are friendly and the flavor is good. We ordered the tom yum, pad thai, green curry, and pineapple fried rice.
Food was spot on! Spiced just right. We ordered 3 different meals and they all hit the spot. I will definitely make this place my go to for take out food
Great service. Tasty food. Good ambiance
Not spicy enough. Good menu options!
Good food, nice place no complaints here.
Food is great but service really bad
Picked up from here. Was delicious. Would definitely go again.
We order some pad thai no flavor blend old shrimp why , why , good thai restaurants always a stand up for their Pad thai very disappointment also we got the sprill roll those were good
Going to Thai food aficionados and they were duly impressed. We have been going to this restaurant on Grand Avenue four years, and the quality never disappoints. The variety on the menu is fantastic and each dish seems more delicious than the last. As you can tell I can't quite say enough - try especially the Pumpkin Curry. It's one of the specials that never disappears because it is such a popular favorite.
Delicious starters. Good size portion. Their brown rice takes time to chew. But the lovely vegetables sauteed was pretty good. It would be nicer with some cashew... The prices are reasonable .
Last week was the first time in this place. But It is surely not the last time. We enjoyed the evening very much with the courteous service, with the fine meal and wine and with the comfortable price. We will definitely come back again.
Whenever i visit to the restaurant the women has a bad attitude. She is always there. Guess what, When i try to order she yelled and hunged up on me, very bad customer service. Please expect “ buy it or go out”. She will kick u out, Be ready for a big fight, unpleasant look, rud Customer service( get it or leave it) :( .I feel bad for the boss since he is loosing customers.
Undercooked veggies and overcooked tofu. Service was polite & fast.
Delicious Thai food I know my order for
THis is hit or miss, my husband and I would go here sometimes after therapy. I usually get the stir fried eggplant, which is good, but like I said, unpredictable.
This is my favorite Thai restaurant. I never go anywhere else. Great food. Good sized portions. Very friendly wait staff.
Nice place for dinner. Good food.
I ordered online. The food was made very quickly and arrived at the correct temperature. But the food was not great. The only item that I could palate were the summer rolls. Those were very good. The rice wrapper was perfect, and the ingredients were fresh.Papaya salad had zero flavor and more shredded carrots than papaya. It was probably one of the worst papaya salads i have ever tasted.Tom yum soup was SO salty! Blech. I fished out the mushrooms and shrimp and had to eat them separately. The rest went down the drain. And maybe im used to different corn cakes... but these were very dense, like a biscuit... at other places theyre usually crispy and light.Would not order again except for the spring rolls.
Very good Thai food. Great selection at fair prices. Takeout available. Nice atmosphere.
Everything was EXCELLENT!! I highly recommend. Thai Tea, fried rice, sticky rice, chicken with peanut sauce, everything was absolutely excellent.
Amazing flavor!
Great food!
Would definitely recommend eating here. Exceptional atmosphere, delicious food, excellent service. Kudos.
Tom Kah is delicious, I would pass on the Pad Thai. Good service
Exceptional food and service, every time!
It was okay, I've definitely had better Thai food before. The duck curry wasn't nearly as flavorful as I had hoped it would be and the Tom Kha soup was lacking in complexity. Nothing bad about the food but don't expect to be blown away.
I am a big fond of Thai food, but this one was not tasty at all. In short, too big dishes, too expensive, too oily, too sweet, spices are not right. It was my first and the last time there.
Just killer food and wine. Great service too
If you want that flavor of coconuts and fish sauce and aren't picky then this is the... only place this side of Grand Ave. They have the flavor but the dishes lacked attention to ingredients and quantity that it left me almost satisfied and a little let down. Papaya salad was chewy and came with (2) shrimp morsel, drenched in dressing. Yellow curry lacked protein but was heavy on potatoes, and the pineapple fried rice... mediocre at best with again (2) pieces of pineapple and seasoned heavy with pepper. The fresh veggie rolls came with avocado pieces - I kid you not - that were rubbery enough that you could bend them almost 90 degrees. Three stars at best for the Thai flavor, service and convenience. They are not my first choice for Thai food around the lake.
I so wanted this to be a five point review, then I went to the restroom to wash my hands. The summer rolls were fantastic. There were some of the best i've ever had.The seafood salad was enormous, and it was filled with seafood and flavor. So with all this good stuff, why the heck couldn't they just clean the bathroom handle, door, and floor.
Grand Avenue Thai Cuisine is one of the best Thai Cuisines I had in the Bay Area. Although I only ordered food to go, their food was really delicious. My wife had the Pad Sew Ew, and it was good. Their Thai Fried Rice was a bit dry but still tasted pretty good.
I only ordered take out so I can't give 5 stars without experiencing the full table service. What I did experience was fast friendly service, the food was still warm and they have my favorite: sticky rice with mango!
Helpful,pleasant and quick service
Food was great. Service was sweet
There Tum Kha Gai and corn cakes are to die for. So good on a chilly night!
We just stopped here last night for some good comfort Thai food. We weren't disappointed with our restaurant choice. The waitresses were friendly, attentive and efficient. We shared satay chicken with peanut sauce as an appetiser and shared the house special of battered fried fish fillet in a yellow curry with veggies and pineapple and a side of jasmine steamed rice. What a beautiful plate and such lovely flavors. Great choices for a nice light dinner for 2. Total bill came about 15$ each including tip. Great value for money. We will return for sure to try my favorite shrimp rolls and pad thai :)
good food, pleasant employees.
UPDATE * - Thanks for the confirmed case of SALMONELLA poisoning!!Waiting 40 minutes for your Tum Yum and getting Tum Kha Gai, then waiting another 25 for it to be corrected, all while being hella thirsty with no drink, sucks!I will never go back here, I will ensure that none of my friends eat here. I will also try to warn other of eating here. I definitively believe it was the rude, unattending waitress that was having a bad day!
Superb Service, Exceptional Local Dining
I have seen this place for years but happened to end up here because the spot I was going to was closed for a private event. The food was fresh and flavorful. The service was lacking. I'd probably go again for the food and the $5 corkage fee.
Great green coconut curry!
Attentive service and delicious food. Loved the basil fried rice.
The food is always so fresh. It feels so healthy to eat here. The food is always delicious and the staff is always friendly and quick.
I usually measure Thai restaurants by how well they make pad see ew. Maybe it's not an objective measurement, but it's worked for me.I tried theirs with tofu, and it was delicious. Service was nice as well. I'll come back here and try more of their dishes.
Love this restaurant. They have a nice assortment of peanut sauce dishes that are great! The peanut sauce is rich with a zest, the best I've ever had. My favorite is the chicken satay cooked with coconut milk, veggies and peanut sauce. They also make wonderful curries that have a nice spiciness. I've eaten here a few times and each was delicious. However, I found that my take-out was not as good as in the restaurant. This is still a favorite spot though!
The food was delicious!!
